Do you want to speak English more fluently and confidently, but you have no good opportunities to practice your skills?

As Your English Cheerleader, I can help you fix this problem!

Introducing... Group Classes with Tim!

Work with me in small group classes that give you the confidence, the opportunities to speak, and the feedback that you need to go from just knowing English well to becoming the confident, fluent speaker that you've always wanted to be.

Spots are limited for my last group class for the time being on Saturday, April 25th, so sign up now to make sure you get yours! Your first class will be a get-to-know-you session where you’ll talk about yourself, share stories, and get to know me and your classmates in fun activities!

Do any of the following sentences describe you?

You've been learning English for YEARS and know plenty of grammar and vocab...

...but you are stuck in this endless cycle of watching videos and listening to podcasts, hoping that this passive listening practice will help you finally speak the language fluently. (I'm sorry to break this to you, but it won't)

You've reached an upper intermediate to advanced level...

...but you're still afraid that the language you use just doesn't sound natural.

You want to improve your speaking skills...

...but you have NO ONE to practice with and don't know where to find good opportunities to practice and improve your speaking skills online or in person.

You want to ENJOY speaking English and be yourself in the language...

...but the fear of making mistakes and sounding weird keeps you from speaking every time.

I completely understand your struggles, and I'm here to help!

As an advanced Spanish and French learner myself, I know EXACTLY how you feel because I struggle with the same problems. There's SO much language in my brain, but when I try to speak, it often just doesn't come out right. This is why I've created the group classes that I would like to take as a language learner: ones where the goal is to have FUN and speak without fear, where you can learn language that native speakers ACTUALLY use, and where a cheerleader is there to support you and make you feel comfortable and seen every step of the way.

In my group classes, you can...

Practice and improve your speaking skills in small groups alongside a CELTA-certified teacher

In each 90-minute class, you'll have TONS of opportunities to practice and polish your speaking skills thanks to small group sizes that never go over 6 students. You'll also practice with an experienced language teacher who knows how to get you talking, expressing your ideas and opinions, MAKING MISTAKES (which is extremely important), and learning, of course!

Get corrections, feedback, and tons of encouragement from your new English Cheerleader

When you join a group class with Your English Cheerleader, you can be sure to get personalized feedback on the language you've used, error correction to help you learn how to express yourself correctly and naturally, and a dose of positivity, good vibes, and encouragement that will motivate you to keep learning, making mistakes, and improving!

Learn advanced vocabulary and grammar in classes that cover a wide variety of topics

Have you learned a lot from my videos on social media? If so, you'll love what we do in my classes! In each one, you'll have the opportunity to learn and practice using advanced grammar structures and vocabulary that natives ACTUALLY use and that aren't taught in normal English classes. You'll also learn all of this in the context of interesting topics that are guaranteed to get you talking.

Watch this video to learn more about what you'll get from my classes and how they can help you to achieve your English-learning goals!

Here's what you'll get in every class you take with Your English Cheerleader:

1. 90 minutes to practice and improve your English in a warm, positive, and judgment-free zone where making mistakes is ENCOURAGED and not speaking perfectly is COOL

2. The opportunity to practice with other English learners in activities where you'll be sharing your opinions about interesting topics, telling each other stories, and using English to communicate in real-world situations

3. Personalized feedback, corrections, and language learning tips from a CELTA-certified ESL teacher with over four years of experience working with adults

4. A PDF with all of the material covered in the lesson

5. Vocabulary that native speakers ACTUALLY USE that will help you to sound natural from the very first class

Here's what two of my learners have said about my classes!

"Taking English classes with Tim has been a game-changer for me. The lessons are super dynamic, and the topics are always engaging and relevant. I feel completely comfortable speaking, which has really boosted my confidence. I’ve improved so much, and I can truly see the difference in my English."

"I have been working with Tim from Your English Cheerleader for almost a year now, and I am truly grateful for how much he has helped me improve my English. We have classes once a week, every Tuesday morning, and I have noticed a real difference in my fluency. I speak more naturally, make fewer pauses, and feel much more confident when expressing myself. I have also seen clear progress in my grammar and pronunciation. What I especially appreciate is how personalized and well-structured his lessons are. Each session is tailored to the areas where I need the most support, which makes the work feel focused and effective.

The quality of his feedback is another reason why I value his teaching so much. After each lesson, I receive speaking and writing tasks, followed by detailed corrections. Tim does not just point out mistakes, he explains how to say things in a way that sounds more natural and idiomatic. His classes also feel like a safe space, which is incredibly important. Many people do not correct you out of politeness, but Tim does, always in a supportive and encouraging way. That honesty, combined with his guidance, has helped me grow so much!

I would highly recommend Tim to anyone who wants to improve their English in a personalized, effective, and encouraging way."

Frequently Asked Questions

Group English classes with Your English Cheerleader (aka me, Tim!) are for you if...

✅ You have an upper intermediate to lower advanced level of English (in other words, you have enough vocab and grammar knowledge to successfully communicate your ideas in most situations, but you still feel like what you say doesn't sound 100% natural)
✅ You struggle to feel comfortable and confident using English despite learning the language for many years
✅ You're looking for a relaxed, encouraging environment to learn and practice natural-sounding, advanced English in
✅ You have no problems being corrected and getting feedback on the language you use from a qualified ESL teacher
✅ You find the content I post on social media useful and have learned a lot of language from it that you'd like to actually practice using in conversations
✅ You are kind, respectful, and ready to speak up and make your voice heard in class. It's okay if you're shy and introverted, of course (I am too, believe it or not!), but I want you to challenge yourself and try to speak as much as you can to get the most out of the class 😊

However, group classes with me are NOT for you if...

🟥 You have a lower beginner (A1) to lower intermediate (B1) level of English; in other words, you struggle to express simple ideas and don't have enough vocabulary or grammar to communicate your thoughts, ideas, or opinions in everyday conversations
🟥 Your main goal is to improve your pronunciation or TOEFL/IELTS score (the focus of my lessons is speaking, vocabulary, and grammar, not pronunciation or test prep)
🟥 You have no intention of actually speaking in class (everyone who signs up for a class MUST participate, no ifs ands or buts about it! Not participating would defeat the purpose of taking the class, obviously!)
🟥 You want to spend most of the class speaking and don't care about giving your classmates a chance to participate (if you want to speak for the whole class, one-to-one classes with me are a better fit for you)
🟥 You don't like being corrected for any reason

Easy! To book your first class, simply click on one of the buttons above that say "Click here to sign up for a class," which will take you to a page where you can choose the day and time of the class. Then, after you enter your payment information and confirm your purchase of a class, you will be sent an email with the meeting confirmation and a link to the Zoom meeting, which you can join on the day of the class. After that, make sure to come to class with a pencil, paper, and plenty of excitement to learn and practice your English! 😄 (the excitement part is optional, of course, but I would absolutely love it if you came to class excited to learn! ☺️)

In the first couple of classes I'll be offering, the focus will be on speaking and conversation, which means that you'll be doing a variety of different communicative speaking tasks in each class either solo or with a partner. In these first couple of classes, you'll get to know your classmates in activities where you'll be sharing interesting things about yourself and telling stories about your life, but over time, I'll start to offer classes that will explore other engaging topics such as family, friendships, work/life balance, traveling, pet peeves, and much more! Each class will begin with a short warm-up exercise that you'll complete either by yourself or with a partner, and after that, you'll be given several communicative speaking tasks that you'll complete in breakout rooms with a partner (who will change throughout the lesson), and we'll also briefly look at helpful language that you can use to complete the tasks before I put you in breakout rooms. After you do each task, we'll come back together in the main room and I'll give you feedback on the language you used to complete the task. This is how most of the classes will go, but some classes may include more or less partner work depending on the topic or the activities we're doing.

As a special thank-you to the learners who sign up for my first three classes, the cost of these three 90-minute classes is $22 USD, and the classes will be open to six students each first-come, first-served. Any classes I offer after these first three will be priced at $32 USD.

In 2022, I earned my CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification from Oxford TEFL, and I've been teaching English online to adults for over three years. However, I've been teaching languages for over five years in total, as I was a Spanish and French teacher for two years between 2019 and 2021 before starting my career as an ESL teacher. And though it's not a formal qualification, I've been posting educational content on social media about a wide range of topics related to English grammar and vocabulary since July of 2022 and have built a following of over 400,000 across all of my social media channels. I'm so lucky to have so many followers who enjoy, appreciate, and learn from the content I create (I never ever thought I'd have THIS many!), and by offering group lessons, I hope to build even closer connections with my followers and finally help them get closer to achieving their personal and professional goals! Also, I have been working one-on-one with adults to help them improve their speaking, grammar, vocabulary, and fluency in English since October of 2021, and in May of 2025, I started offering private, one-to-one lessons to my followers on social media.

Payment can be made securely using a credit or debit card on Calendly, which is the website you'll be using to sign up for the class.
